"Have stayed in many of the area hotels, and this one exceeded our expectations. Although it is large, one doesn't feel overwhelmed by it. The room was beautiful, and wonderfully appointed. The staff was incredible. Every person we dealt with was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. If you need to be in Tucson in August, this hotel is hard to beat. My only "complaint" would be that it is "far out", but of course, that depends on where you are having to go. We did not mind the drive, and loved getting away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. There are many wonderful restaurants and shopping areas close by. Enjoy!"

"The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Tucson's northern foothills. The rooms are large and feature a huge tub, cordless phone, iPod dockable alarm clock, and more. The one disappointment is that the pool area features a limited amount of deck around the pool, which fills up quickly. My family was unable to get seats on both days. Even if you do get a chaise, you will be crowded like sardines with other guests... not relaxing. All things considered it is a very nice property, with wonderful lounging areas indoors and in the room."

"the service was inconsistent; the room was overprice; the bathroom was tiny; no matter how low i put the thermostat it was really hot in the room; the pool was overcrowded- there were no chairs at all; i paid $10 to use the gymlap pool (see above)at the very modest spa, yet i was also charged a $29 "resort fee"- so basically I was charged $39 to use what should be available to hotel guests at any old hotel. This property is clearly a renovation and the service was not typical of Loews or any "resort" that charges these kinds of prices."

"If you're a discerning customer looking for impecable service despite the cost-cutting companies are imposing - Loews is outstanding! Hotel staff goes out of their way to accomodate requests. For example, I needed to get a shirt with the hotel's logo during our last night and didn't know that the hotel store closed at 5pm. And my husband and I were leaving the hotel 7:30am the next day. The spa staff called several people at the front desk and concierge to check whether they could open the store for me! Keep up the GREAT work!!"

"We stayed for one night and LOVED it ! Our Hotel room was gorgeous. The bed was very big and comfortable. The room, bathroom and private patio were clean and very well kept. I didn't feel like I was staying in a Hotel, I felt like I was in a little apartment. Very nice ! The bathtub was HUGE and the Flat Screen TV in the bathroom made it that much nicer. I would for sure recommend this Hotel to anyone. The only downside was that most of the guests there were very snooty. We got some dirty looks from people because we brought our 3 year old Son with us. But the Hotel itself seems pretty kid friendly. They even gave my Son a toy when we check in."

Most hotels aspiring to this class welcome you to your room, they immediately started trying to weasel extra fees out of me. They advertise high-speed internet, but it's not wireless and they want $12 a day or some similar rate. My cell phone wouldn't work on the property, and there was a $1 surcharge for each phone call, even local calls. Every time I turned around it seemed they wanted another fee. This is supposed to be a high end property. This mercantile approach wasn't gracious or welcoming. "I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and other than the pricey food, almost always had a positive experience. But the last stay in November was lousy. Poor service (no roll away bed as promised, no newspapers - although the front desk specifically asked which ones we wanted at our door) pricey room service (a $100 food credit was quickly absorbed by the $80 bill for two kids' pastas, two desserts and two appetizers, not to mention the 21% gratituity charge). Costly amenities ($11 a day for Internet service, $10 to use the on-site workout facilities. HELLO?). I used my cellphone, so I was able to avoid the $1 a call charges on the hotel phone. After one night, I requested a larger room, thinking that with two teen girls, we could use the extra space. But they refused unless we ponied up $100 a night extra. Kind of surprising, given that the hotel was at less than 50% capacity. You'd think they would want to please customers and entice them to return."

"This is a quality hotel, and it made for a wonderful experience.
The hotel management (Mr. Collier), in acknowledgement of my son-in-law's recent return from his second tour in Iraq, graciously upgraded his room and provided a welcoming bottle of champagne -- a nice gesture that sent just the right message."
