The Anabella is farther away from Disney's maingate but closer to Downtown Disney and the monorail. The Anabella is across the street from what I believe is the south side of California Adventure. From the Anabella... you walk up Disney Way for maybe 2 blocks and can cut through the Grand Calif and you are right in Downtown Disney and can take the monorail right in the park from there. I think the distance to the monorail from the Anabella and the distance from the Red Lion to the main gate is probable about the same. Even if you had a few more steps to take the Anabella is worth them. The grounds, bedding, size of rooms and hospitality of the personel are worth it.

We just stayed 5 nights - rooms were great, food was good - don't miss the fish tacos and the $2.95 appetizers daily from 230p-6p! The breakfast prices are decent too - only $7-9 or eggs/bacon or sausage for $5! Coco's for b'fast is close too! Service was great...thank you Ally (rest/pool), David & Adrian (F.Desk), Matthew (Concierge), AJ (pool bartender) and Oscar, Brennen, and Michael (Bellstaff)!! If we ever hit Disney again......we will stay again! http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs147.snc4/36705_1482316946069_1478207315_1270021_3631303_s.jpg

We had our 2nd stay this year at the Anabella last week for Thanksgiving at Disneyland and were absolutely pleased again. We had 3 issues with our room that were resolved immediately without question! Excellent customer service indeed. You guys are so pleasingly close to Disney that you are definitely a great choice, w...ould really make it more appealing with either free or discounted parking next time. The first time we stayed in July we had free parking because we purchased through Disney.com as a package. Thank you for the excellent service!

We stayed at the Anabella on Oct 19th and it was fantastic! Everyone was totally helpful and even though it was raining cats and dogs in CA all week we didn't care one bit! Thanks for an amazing nights sleep and we can't wait to return on our next trip to Disney! P.S. my husband wanted to know how it would be possible ...for us to fit the beds in our car!! That is how comfy they were! We are already planning our next visit in January 2011! And yes, we are staying at The Anabella again, but this time we are bring more people with us! yey!!!

Tangerine Grill is so reasonable; we got complimentary breakfast for the kids, but even without it, it's a great economic, and YUMMY place to eat before heading onto Disneyland! The walk is easy. The pool is awesome. But mainly, we've staye...d in ALLOT of different hotels, this has super nice accommodations, very spacious with 'separate' rooms, even when you don't reserve separate rooms. And the tip top reason are the rates by far. It's unbeatable, especially for this location!!! (Plus Jennifer Mendoza is awesome! :)

we were there in June, about a month ago. Thank you!! We had a great time and enjoyed the hotel! I think next time we will ask for an upstairs room, no big deal, but the floors upstairs are thin. That was our only grumble, and very minor at that. Loved the hotel!! Will likely stay again! Walk was perfect, even for our 5 year old!

We booked so that we could stay all in one room, hubby, baby, sitter, sister and me - but loved it because it was within a nice little walk to Disney (through the cool gardens), the food was great and nicely priced at the Tangerine, most all the staff was attentive and the pool was perfect in the afternoons!

I just want everyone to know that staying at the Anabella Hotel it was the worst experience I have had at a hotel. They lost my room reservations and had to make a knew one and I was put in the worst cracker box room you have ever seen. When I took a shower it fogged up the whole room thats how small it was. I was c...harged the highest room rate in my party because of the lost room reservation. Oh and when I returned I was charged for the lost room reservation that they couldn't find. When I called room reservations I was told he couldn't take off the charge until he investigated it, two days later with no phone call by Alvin the manager, They decided to take take off the charge with I am sorry about that. Horrible horrible customer service. - Wendy

I just came back from staying at the hotel in anaheim and I'm sorry but I was NOT happy with the hotel at all. I had a do not disturb sign on the door and I still got a very rude knock at the door at 9am almost my entire stay with no help from the front desk. Not only that but I had to pay a $10 parking fee everyday an...d had alot of trouble finding a spot to park and I had to park far away from my room??? And for the price you people charge and NO microwave????? It just doesn't seem right. Worst hotel stay!!! Oh and another thing they didn't even have HBO or ANY movie channel. But the budget inn has HBO and a microwave and cheaper rates

The hotel's restaurant is decent and the prices for most items on the menu surprisingly cheapaffordable. My only complaint was the additional (daily) cost for Wi-Fi. Many hotels offer free Wi-Fi. "The Annabella was a great hotel and the price was ideal through hotels.com. Our room was lovely. The service was great with one exception--there was no coffee available in the lobby. We missed that. The food at the restaurant was good and the bar service was excellent. I arrived early and was told the room was not ready. I gave them my cell number to call when the room was ready. I never got a call so I spent several hours killing time, a minor inconvenience. There are two nice pools--the "quiet" pool was not quiet though because it seems the maintainence staff is always doing something with power tools!"

"Well we have stayed at the Anabella several times in past years, but not in the last couple. We saw a good price and got a room. Things that disappointed us and the reason we won't be going back.
1) amily enjoys pay-per-view movies while we are in our room. They used to have them, no longer. 2) re-folded wet towels and placed them back on the towel rack. 3) left two wraps of toilet paper on the roll and left no additional paper, had to call. 4) Remote for TV had low batteries. 5) Phone didn't work, had to use my cell phone to call front desk.
Poor all around stay. Will never go back again."

"The staff was very welcoming. Our room was very beautiful and very comfortable. The restaurant, My goodness I don't have words to describe it, DELICIOUS!! The only thing I did not like (but it was not a problem) was that you have to pay and additional 10 dlls for parking. Disneyland is very close to this hotel so you can walk to and from. I would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel is advertised as allowing pets but nowhere readily visible in the Hotels.com website or on their own website is it clear that there is a $100 NONREFUNDABLE Deposit - it is buried so deep in the fine print it took the desk clerk 15 minutes to find it and show it to me, but they still wouldn't make a refund and insisted it was a fair charge. The list of amenities had an asterisk indicating a surcharge by the internet but no asterisk or other mention anywhere visible about a fee that significant for a pet stay. They maintain they close the room for complete carpet shampoo after each pet stay and that is the reason for the charge. Our pet left no trace of anything (minature poodle that doesn't shed and was perfectly behaved) so if they did that it was a major waste of money! The hotel itself was quite nice, but this was most infuriating!"

They have a nice location and it is a pretty quiet hotel. The Bellla Reyna has a Queen size bed and there was only a little room between it and the wall but its livable. We will stay here again."

"The Anabella is within walking distance of the two Disney parks and is one of the best-looking hotels that is not one of the Disney properties. The room I had this time (one king-sized bed) was smaller than the last time and had some impractical furniture arrangements, such as chairs that blocked entrance to the bathroom area, but I solved this myself by moving a chair and lamp. I preferred the decor to last time--it had been updated to simpler white bed linens and hardwood floors that made the room look fresher. Finding a parking space near your room (the rooms are arranged in squares) can be difficult, which is an annoyance if you have a lot of luggage."

Actually 2 out of 3 people were helpful and willing to assist when needed. There was one desk person that had changed our reservation on us and moved our room prior to check in, but it was immediately rectified. Room was a great size and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.Hotel was about a mile from Angels Stadium, which was my original reason for going there."

"When I was looking for hotels close to disneyland park, I look at several an I noticed that this Hotel had a great discount about 50% in a room price, a little bit higer than the other in the surronding area,so I suppose that will be better. My first surprise was when I did the check in, It was 11:30 pm, I had been in the park all day walking with my kids, and I was really tired, The person that was in the front desk tell me that I had to pay the parking fee (13 dlls), I suppose that she was mistaken because that day I pay the parking in Disney, but I was very tired and I want the room, when I came to the room, first I tought that I had the wrong key because the door was stuck but te light was green so I pushed very hard and open, the room is located next to the street, I closed the window but I continued hearing the cars, I turn on the air conditioning and the noise that made cover the cars noise, I tried to sleep, I put the air conditioning in the lower because it was a little hot, but I was in something like a circle turns on and off, when turn off, the room was to hot and I can hear the cars, and when was on again It's sound like a car. It was horrible I can't sleep all night, and we have the other park for that day, at 9:00 am we are ready to leave, so I went to check out and they charge me the parking, that ridicoulus I said where I suppose to park my car? when I went to sleep the street? and they said yes, so I have to pay. When I cheked this hotel in hotels.com, doesn't said nothing to pay for the parking."

"Very nice hotel and close to DisneylandCalifornia Adventure however if you need to park there, be prepared to pay $11.50night. I know there are some places where you have to pay for parking, but for a decent hotel like this usually parking is FREE and another thing I didn't like was they didn't provide free wifi in the room. Most places I've stayed at have free wifi. Other than those 2, the place is very nice to stay at and within walking distance to the theme parks."

"this was our 2nd visit. the hotel was a short walk from disneyland there was a bus stop out front but we walked. this time we booked the kingdouble room, for 2 adults and 2 kids. plenty of room even had a sofa that made into a bed. beds were very comfortable. we had a room with an extra separate room last time (which was alot smaller)my only negative issues were that there was no microwave (necessary if you have small children) We
brought ours from home both times and the
toilet was very close to the wall, not much room if you are a "little wider""

Clean rooms with nice hardwood floors, big comfy beds, and space to move in.
Work out room is small but meets basic needs: treadmill, stairstepper, unversial weight machine, and free weights.
Perfect 10 min walk to Disneyland.
Only downer was outside rooms. To my knowledge all rooms have outside entry. But you still feel safesecure on their property.
Too bad the hot tub is located at the kids pool. Couldn't relax with kids doing cannonballs into hot tub.
ART stop right in front of hotel.
Truly enjoyed this hotel"

"I styed here on business last week and was thoroughly disappointed. I was told I could check in early and then was told it would be ready in just a few minutes, for 3 hours! When I was finally given a room it was the closest to the busy street (I was traveling alone so this was purely a safety issue for me)but worse than that it was next to an employee area that was incredibly loud. I called the front desk to ask for another room, was put on hold for 10 minutes and then told I would get a call back from them in 5. I started on some work and 35 minutes later finally got a call back. I was moved to a new room that an hour later and was told it "had just been cleaned" but found not one but two room service trays with food on them in the room. The gentleman that had shown me to the room apologized but if the room had just been cleaned how were 2 trays overlooked? This was my first day's experiences and things never got much better. I would not go back to this hotel."

However, the walls were very thin, and while it's close to Disney, it's not really close to the main gate so it was still a hike. I was surprised with the lack of amenities as well. They charged an extra $10 a day for parking, There was no shuttle to the park, no continental breakfast, and the pool was pretty unimpressive. While it was a decent hotel, many of the surrounding hotels offer a lot more for your money."
