"We frequent MM at least once to twice a year and the experience is unforgettable every time. Fabulous winefood pairing; we always opt for the chef's tasting menu to maximize our experience. During the warmer months, they will server out on the large porch of the manor; simply GORGEOUS!! Fabulous atmosphere, food, service; be prepared to drop some serious cash (however, not as much as Cyrus or The French Laundry, but still sizable) for this one of a kind outing. The Victorian atmosphere is well, I can't think of enough adjectives that haven't already been used to describe this innrestaurant. A must try if you are in the Healdsburg area."

"You can't stop me from going back. The food is amazing. Every time I go there a new menu, each one seems better then the last. The last time i ate here was a few weeks ago in the start of November. The staff is amazing!! I love how they have fun with their jobs. The manger there, I think his name was Joseph, was a total blast. But our favorite part of the meal was the little blonde girl that brought out our food. She made us hungry for the food in front of us and she was super nice and by the end of the night I felt that she was our best friend that we knew for our whole lives. You must eat here!!!! It will be the best meal of your life."

"love it, love it, love it!: Fantastic on so many levels. The food is fabulous. The rooms are beautiful, you will never want to get out of the bed (so comfortable and inviting). The herb garden is wonderful. I loved sitting by the pool and being completely engulfed in the aromas of the orange blossom trees."

"Simply the best in Healdsburg: We just returned from our 3rd delightful stay at Madrona Manor in the past 4 months. We will return again and again. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms could not be more comfortable, spacious or luxurious with attention paid to every detail. The fireplaces are wonderful in winter. The staff is helpful and gracious. Dining here is a fabulous experience....we prefer it to the restaurant at Dry Creek Inn, and to Cyrus which we have been to on several occasions."

"Romantic Stay: My Husband and I stayed at the Madrona Monor one year Valentines Day. There were Limos lined up in front, from San Francisco, for Valentines Dinner in the Restaurant. We were not able to eat there that night but we did enjoy breakfast every day and had a fabulous meal a few days later. Our room had a wonderful views of the garden and a fireplace. "What a wonderful experience!!!: We were over at Windsor for a weekend get away. Saw Madrona Manor as one of the ""must-try" restaurant in the area on a discussion forum. We were definitely pleasantly surprised. Thought we do something special, so, we had the Dicken's Dinner Series, which is the 5 course meal. All of my friends, myself and my husband included, loved the food and the placeMansion!!! We also had the singers that go to each room to sing X-mas caroles. Our server was great! Very humorous. And the owner showed up at each table to say hello. Great place. The food was excellent, but the portion was very small and somewhat in a higher price range. Although it was an experience to remember. And remember, there is a semi-casual to formal dress code. Love it! Love it! Love it!"

"A returning customer: My Fiance and I got engaged there, we go there for one or two night gettaways, and we are getting married there next summer. We love the ambiance, the food, the surrounding area, and the romance that we feel the moment we drive through the gates. It is a beautiful place to stay and the people are great!"

"We will be back! A great place to get married.: The service and food was top notch! We were married here and besides the planners being so helpful and organized, the food and service was phenomenal, grounds are gorgeous and we had an all around amazing time. The rooms are great too! Definitely worth the money and very convenient to the downtown of Healdsburg. We will be back to celebrate an anniversary."

"Wedding at Madrona: We chose Madrona for our wedding for April 2, 2006. Isabelle and Christy and Marissa were constantly working to make it amazing for the 3 months prior. Any concerns I had along the way were immediately addressed and corrected. Brides are not always easy, but the staff never lost its professionalism with me. The rain was an issue as the weekend drew near, and although options were suggested, they understood my needs, and our wedding was held in the Music room. The intimacy was extremely touching. The reception was on the Palm Terrace, and with the blinds pulled down, the heaters on, the candle-lit room was absolutely enchanting with a soundtrack of rain that you couldn't pay for!!! The food was phenomenal, and the chef's suggestions were heard and appreciated. My family is not the "BB" type, but we occupied the Carriage House, and spent the weekend in total togetherness. Isabelle's suggestions for a photographer, officiant and florist were PERFECT. The staff called us all by name, and any request, for a steamer, or coffee, or wine glasses was promptly answered. Madrona made the most special weekend of my life memorable and comfortable for all involved. The beds were so comfortable!! Breakfast was wonderful to fill our tummies after an evening of wine consumption, and a day ahead of tasing and celebrating! I would HIGHLY recommend Madrona!!!"

The Manor is welcoming, charming, luxurious, comfortable, beautiful inside and out. The accomodations are excellent, filled with thoughtful touches which make a big difference, breakfasts are delicious, service excellent, staff so helpful. A perfect getaway."

"THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!: My husband and I had the most amazing weekend here. The staff is welcoming without being overbearing. The decor is romantic but "fresh" with a wonderful blend of antiques and whimsy. The bed was yummy and makes such a difference! We had a great time. It was restful, romantic, fun... You must take advantage of the grounds because they have several paths worth a leisurly wandering. We ran across a swing, hammock, orange trees, breathtaking landscaping. They have a pool too (unusual for the BB type of place). They take care of you here, cookies in the room, champagne too - a total surprise! The attached restaurant is worth a visit. This place is special and a "find." So go find it! The surrounding area is loads of fun to drive around, stop, taste wine, taste some more, drive a bit more, taste some more. Go in any direction and you find wine tastings (we didn't pay for a single tasting - NOT like Napa!). Go, enjoy, drink, be merry and romantic -- don't look at your watch (take it OFF)."

"Romantic Wedding: I live just south of San Francisco and I had the fortune to attend a wedding at the Madrona Manor. It was just beautiful! The ceremony was in the garden and dinner was inside in the historic mansion. It was very romantic and relaxed."

"A Perfect Retreat: I have stayed at the Madrona Manor on several occasions and try to get there at least a couple of times of year as it is an easy weekend trip from the Bay Area. Staying at the Madrona Manor is a relaxing and luxurious experience. The inn is charming and the staff are very helpful and always available when you need them. On most visits, I have a massage in my room which is lovely, enjoy drinks on the terrace while listening to live jazz and then have a great dinner in the inn's restaurant at night. The grounds are so beautiful and you can walk throughout the property and enjoy the scenery. It really is the perfect wine country getaway and you will leave feeling pampered and relaxed. I highly recommend it!"

"How Romantic!: My first visit to Napa Valley was over two years ago. It was my first out of town trip with my new boyfriend. We stayed at Madrona Manor and found the service excellent. They were helpful with questions and places to see in Napa Valley. The grounds were well kept and the Orange trees were in bloom. The Manager told me to help myself to a few oranges. We took a walk around the Manor early in the morning, and enjoyed our balconey in the cool evenings! I can't wait to visit again and have hinted to my now husband, that we must return soon."

"Perfect!: We really enjoyed our stay at Madrona Manor. It's secluded and quieter than the places in town, but only a minute or two away. The staff were not only helpful, but really friendly and knowledgable. They helped us organize area tours each day which was indispensable as we didn't know the area that well. We got a room in the Mansion which was large, had a fireplace and balcony, ideal for our three night stay. We particularly enjoyed star-gazing on the balcony at night. The bed and linens were really high quality and we slept really well. The restaurant is very nice, a bit formal but still quite friendly. The food was excellent. We dined on the outdoor terrace looking out over the gardens, which are gorgeous. Before checking out, we looked at other rooms and liked the Garden Cottage for its privacy, and the schoolhouse suite although it is a little pricey for us. Oh, and there's a heated pool which was great!"
