"We have stayed here before and it seemed this time the accommodations were even better than before. Despite our late p.m. arrival, the desk host was helpful and found us both a rollaway bed and some additional towels. The a.m. continental complimentary breakfast was great: selection was outstanding incl fruit, yougurt, waffles, cereal, donuts, and pastries. The rooms have been updated and the bedding is now upscale and the countertops granite. Good value for us."

"We were very impressed with this hotel - friendly staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, good amenities, great value for the money. I recommend it very highly. We liked it so much, we stayed there again on the way home and had an equally positive experience."

"Came equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator freezer and bar sink. Perfect if you are on a budget and wanted to bring a little bit of food. Bathroom seemed to be recently remodeled."

"When staying in hotels I always check the cleanliness of the bathroom, my opinion if it's dirty the service is not good. I was impressed with how clean the bathroom was and the entire room was also very clean. The bed was comfortable, the pillows too soft for my taste. Easy access to freeway and not far from Imperial Beach. Staff was courteous and extremely helpful with location of tourist attractions."

"We only stayed for 1 night but we fully enjoyed the experience. The staff was great. The surrounding area has quite a few restaurants to pick from. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a little small but we still enjoyed a short swim. Definitely get there early for the continental breakfast. It gets packed early."

"I'd stayed in this hotel twice before when passing through Yreka. Each time I stayed here, including this one, I got exactly what I expected and paid for in a Best Western Hotel. A nice place to stay. The location is convenient to Interstate 5 and near dining and gas. I will stay here next time I find myself in Yreka - a charming northern California town just south of the Oregon border."

"This hotel is centrally located in the San Diego-Carlsbad area. Close to dining and shopping in Del Mar. Close to I5 and provides a non-congested route to I15 via the Ted Williams Parkway(56). The room was very large, could use a little more furniture, but you are in San Diego! you are not supposed to be in your room. The room was clean, bed comfortable, shower had a new fixture that provided plenty of water and pressure. Breakfast had plenty of choices of pastries and bread. Hard boiled eggs were the only protein source. Coffee was plentiful, would have liked to see some green tea, but their was a good variety of herbal teas."

"We stayed at the hotel with kids. The beach is about a 10 minute walk, stores and restaurants are convenient and close by. The only thing we did not like was the cleanliness of the hotel. The carpet had spots and there were fingerprints on the chair backs and microwave. The bathroom fixtures were old, and sometimes hot water came out of the cold sink faucet handle. That said, the price was very good for a room with a kitchenette. Since we didn't spend much time in the hotel, it didn't bother us too much. The towels and sheets were clean."

"Our room was spacious and clean. However, I would have to say this hotel is definitely showing it's age. Although our room was clean, everything in the room was showing some wear-and-tear.
I did check that I would recommend this hotel, but with some reservations. The hotel is about 7 blocks from the beach access areas so it would be difficult to walk to the beach if you plan on carrying a lot of stuff for the day.
Again, the interior was showing it's age. Being on the ground floor, we could not open our windows at night and let the wonderful air in.
We would consider staying here again, but I would definitely want an upstairs room. The grounds and pool areas were very nicely maintained. Very little interaction with the staff, but they seemed courteous. The included breakfast was limited, but adequate."

"Breakfast was sub par though, the cafe was teeny and you were better off taking it to your room, but they provided no trays and only styrofoam cups and plates. Get a top floor if you can because I have never stayed in a hotel where you could hear the stomping all night long! It was pretty annoying. Overall, the surrounding neighborhood was something to be desired but you were about a five minute drive from great shopping and dining in that newly renovated part of Long Beach."

"The other hotel guests were kind of a mix of people, it was only a five minute drive to any nice part of Long Beach, although I wouldn't have set foot outside the fence. The surrounding neighborhood was a little scary. They needed more availability of convenience store type items, and the facilities for breakfast could use improvements. BUT, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and had everything we needed inside it. Also, stay on the top floor if you stay because we could hear walking above us the entire night."

"Not in the best of areas, but plenty of safe and secure parking spaces. Rooms are clean, well-kept. Ice-machines on each floor was nice. WasherDryers both working well and area was clean and safe do to laundry. Swimming pool was not as clean as we would have liked. Front desk people were friendly and helpful !"

"Hotel has a local train right outside that runs often and is cheap. It was nice not to have to worry about driving down to the pier area and paying for parking. Beds were very comfortable and room was very clean."

"The hotel itself was clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful. However this hotel is located in a horrible neighborhhood of downtown Long Beach. We didnt feel safe at night and the surrounding neighborhood is run down, and very populated with incidents requiring police attention all night. We would not stay here agin just because of the neighborhood."

"Clerk is a little abrupt, but she did recommend a great restaurant near the hotel. The carpet made my daughters' socks black, so it really needed cleaning. But the room was a good deal and easy to find."

"We were pleasantly surprised. We usually stay in 3-5 star hotels so we were hesitant about the mixed reviews. Our room was in the older part of the hotel but very large, had a small kitchenette, large bathroom, up to date decor kind of beachy. We were in town for a week just to relax and we did! We will stay there again."

"the room was very dirty and unused sugar packets were put back on coffee basket. the room has not been vacuumed orcleaned up. lots of hair and crumbs on the bathroom and bedside. coinson thefloor and other plastic debris. bathtub has hair everywhere."

"Very clean and cute inside and outside the motel. Separate change area from bathroom was very nice. Very basic breakfast of toast, bagels and cereal but it was adequate. The only down spot was the pool, it was dirty and did not look inviting."

"Freeway noise is awful and the hotel.com website said it had a outside hot tub which is why we chose this motel but they did not have one. Also, if you are handicapped, be sure you call the hotel directly and reserve a downstairs room. We got stuck with the second story and it was very hard on both my husband I. On the upside: the room was nice clean and the manager was nice."

"When we booked our rooms the pic looked great but when we arrived the place is a lot older than in pics and well a little worn. The hotel itself is not really conveniently located to seaworld or much of anything unless you want your car washed for 2.50."

"We were in town for a tattoo convention in Long Beach and looking for an affordable place. Everything was great and comfortable, nice showerhead :) breakfast a little lacking, finding a parking spot was a challenge more often than not. Overall I would stay there again."

"AC didn't work. Thank heavens for cooler outside air and a sliding door on the back of the room. Door jammed and stuck constantly. Not abd hotel for the proce, if they only maintained it."

"This was a conveniently located motel off the I5 freeway. Positives: Very nice staff - ready to please, well cleaned poolspa, continental breakfast and free internet. Negatives: Westminster Bl is very loud - morning, noon and night; carpets were stained; light bulbs were low watt low light; requested non-smoking room - recev smoking room and would not change"

"For less than the price of an equivalent hotel farther inland we got a decent room with a recently rennovated bathroom and the hotel has two nice pools and a hot tub that my children really enjoyed. Add in that it's walking distance to the beach and downtown Del Mar and you have a nice, affordable option in one of the best beach towns in California where other hotels can cost multiples more than what we paid. Thanks Hotels.com for helping us find the perfect hotel for our needs. I'll be back again."

"I was impressed with the layout of this hotel, as it looks like condos, not a regular hotel. There are two sparkling pools, and from some of the upper units a beach view. It's less than a mile to the Del Mar popular beach area, so we ended up walking into the little downtown area and then to the beach several times easily. If I return, I will definitely pay a little extra for the units with a view. They have nice balconies."
