The food was great, including the breakfast buffet...great selection and good food. Also at Bongo's,large portions. Loved the beach and loved the zero entry pool for the little one. We will definitley be back!!!

"What a fun time... great hotel for families; The onsite restaurants - JoJo's and Bongo's - were great; the staff was very very helpful and warm. The beach - NICE!!! The kids absolutely loved the pool. Even though it rained, we made the best of it and had the best time ever which made it so so hard leaving - trust me, we will be back!!!"

"We were in town for a baseball tournament and could only stay for a short time. We loved that we could rent for just a few nights. The beachocean was much closer to the property than locations on the south end of the island. Absolutely loved the free fuest laundry facility on each floor so that we could wash ball uniforms each night. The screened porch balcony was great for enjoying the evening and needless to say the pool was great for the kids. Only drawback was that the kitchen area was not conducive to feeding a family - no oven and only 2 stove burners."

Lots of acivities for older children as well. This did not bother us, but if you are looking for a quiet romantic setting stay somewhere else!! The staff was amazing. "We just returned from a week long Florida vacation that included three night stay at the Pink Shell Beach Resort. Overall, our experience at the resort was very good. Regarding the rooms, we stayed in the main building (meaning the same building as the lobby - think this was called the White Sand Villas). The room we had was great. Lots of space. Terrific view of the gulf and the beach. Was nice to have a washer and dryer in the room, a full size refrigerator, and a living room area. Our king size bed was very comfortable. Our daughter slept on the pullout bed in the living room - she indicated that it wasn't the most comfortable bed as she likes a softer bed and this was extremely firm. Regarding the restaurants in the hotel, we tried JoJo's(?)on the Beach the first night. Reviews from those in our party ranged from very good food to ok. I had a steak and thought it was ok - not great. The service at the restaurant as very good. Additionally, we had the breakfast brunch (where it is complimentary for two each morning) and found it to be excellent. Great selection of food and the service was also very good. We only sampled one of the pools (the Octo-pool) and found it to be a lot of fun. Warm water. Waterfall in the middle was neat and refreshing. Didn't find it too difficult to find chairs by the pool during our stay. Lastly, the location of the property on the beach is very good and the beach experience itself was great. Soft white sand beach. Warm gulf water. Had a great time renting the waverunner one day. Found the $25 charged to rent out a couple of chairs and umbrella to be a good investment (given the heat and sun). Only disappointment was that there were not many sea shells on Fort Myers beach - lots of sand dollars, but as almost all of them you will find are still alive, they are not for the taking. Suggest venturing over to Sanibel Island if you are looking for shells (however, we did this and were a little disappointed that, while there are lots of"

"We took our two kids, ages 4 2, and had a great time. Seems like they cater to kids and families. Service was excellent, the beach was beautiful, the pools and villas were clean and comfortable. Do wish they had more air-conditioned areas for people to wait if they arrive before check in, or depart after check-out time. Also, it would be nice if there was a gas station or grocery store a little closer. The trolley is convenient (although the schedule was confusing) and cheap; we didn't even rent a car for the trip. All staff bent over backwards to make it a great experience. I definitely recommend it; the kids are already asking to go back."

"The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and airy. The balcony was screened in so you could leave the doors open and not worry about bugs. The view overlooking the water was gorgeous. Our room included a stovetop, fridge, microwave, coffemaker, pots and pans and just about anything else you may need. Only one issue was with the toilet plumbing...not so good. However, we had to call maintenance twice and they were up and fixed the problem within minutes of our call. The buffet style breakfast was very good, however, if you have small kids that don't eat much it is not worth the cost. Overall, it was a very nice stay."

"This was a planned "getaway" for my adult daughter and myself from work and hectic Atlanta. Our stay could not have been nicer. We were greeted with genuine friendliness and courteous staff. Bill was extremely helpful in suggesting restaurants and local highlights to see and do during our stay. Our room was upgraded from a one bedroom studio to a 2 bedroom ocean villa with views of the beach. Everything I could need was there from luxurious bathrobes to a full kitchen, refrigerator and washer and dryer!
Staying on the beach was ideal. It was a short walk to the pool, restaurant and beach. Breakfast was delicious and we ate far too many calories! Waiters and waitress were kind and attentive.
My only regret was that we should have stayed longer.
I would definitely recommend this resort for families and friends! Thanks for making our getaway just what was needed, perfect!"

"There are 2 buildings to this hotel. We stayed in the South unit, which I believe is much older than the north unit. North unit is about $night higher. Our room was old. The stove, sink and refrigerator looked like something from the 1950's. Glass in the kitchen area was cracked with 4 pieces of duct tape covering cracks. We had 2 double beds and a sofa, so adequate room for 3 of us. Bathroom was rather small. Parking areas are assigned (no charge to park). Nice view of beach outside window. Heated pool was salt water, but clean. Unheated pool was very cold and not being used. Housekeepers made sure you had adequate towels and pool towels are available from front desk. Grill on beach is used by many. Convenience store nearby sells steaks and hot dogs and prices are reasonable. There is a trolly that goes up and down Estero, but we walked to nearby shops and restaurants. Motel has nice location. Caution: I made the reservation on their web site and they said they didn't have the reservation when I got to the desk. I had checked the night before and rooms were advertised at $ less than what I booked originally. I told her I would go to my car and book a room on my computer and the gal at the desk brought up her web site and found the rate I told her about and put me in for the $ rate, so all worked out ok. Don't know what we would have done if they hadn't had rooms and would not honor the print out that I had of my booking."

"We stayed here for 6 nights the resort is absolutely beautiful and I dread going home. We stayed in 1 bedroom captiva building, I was leary of the expense but let me tell you it was worth every penny! The condo was hugealmost 700 square feet- the bathroom was incedible. "I had read the reviews on Tripadvisor and looked over the website for The PinkShell Resort but it was as nice if not more than what I expected. "This was my first trip to the Ft Myers area and I found this hotel to be an excellent accomodation. The front desk staff was very accomodating, the bar staff was friendly, efficient and professional, the food in the restaurant was exceptional (although the staff was a little off their game, but hey, it can't all be perfect!) The room was far more than I expected with beautiful balcony views, high quality sheets, towels and bathrobes provided. The kitchen area was extremely well furnished. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!"
