The Island Little Palm Island Resort and Spa is a private luxury resort with only 30 one-bedroom suites. All of the accommodations surround the perimeter of the island and have a water view. Little Island has something to please each and every guest, including, natural white sand beach, fresh water lagoon style swimming pool, fitness center, Great Room library and game room, indulgent SpaTerre, full-service dive shop with daily excursions, an endless array of water-craft choices and gourmet cuisine. Little Island has something to please each and every guest, including, natural white sand beach, fresh water lagoon style swimming pool, fitness center, Great Room library and game room, indulgent SpaTerre, full-service dive shop with daily excursions, an endless array of water-craft choices and gourmet cuisine. The guest would be charged 10% resort fee charge (valet parking, motor yacht transfers, access to the fitness center, water sport activities and staff gratuities). The resort and all rooms are non-smoking. There are designated smoking areas located outside of building.
The new boat schedule we were testing has not worked out very well so we are going back to the way things were.
Our boat from our shore station to the island leaves on the bottom of the hour (on the ½ hour) 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:45am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, etc. until 10:30pm. Our boat from the island back to the shore station leaves at the top of every hour 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, etc. until 11pm

"Arrived on Thursday and departed on a Sunday. Staff has been cut 20% in the recent downturn and the island was at 40% occupancy on our weekend stay. "The Scene This island can only be reached by seaplane or boat, and those under the age of 16 are not allowed. The lush landscape is filled with trees with songbirds, while the decor is British Colonial, giving the overall effect of a wealthy Caribbean hideaway. The majority of guests come here to spend downtime on the beach with a partner. Many weddings have been held in this picturesque spot. The Details Each of the 28 thatched-roof bungalows has a veranda and a view of ocean. The rooms do not contain telephones or TVs. Instead the focus is on romance, with king-sized, four-poster beds with canopies and mosquito netting. The bathrooms are equipped with whirlpool baths and the on-site spa's specialty products. Mahogany furnishings and golden-colored walls are lit by an abundance of candles. The dining room is candle-lit, as well, and the local deer have been known to creep up to it occasionally. Its menu features Florida-French fusion--lobster croissants and salad Nicoise, as well as conch salad and the obligatory Key-lime pie. Water sports such as deep-sea fishing and sailing are available."
