Large lobby, combining original Art Deco elements with a modern twist.
Oceanview Balcony: Located in the newly renovated original Landmark Fontainebleau Chateau or Versailles buildings re-opening in July 2008, these rooms are located in the "curve" of the Chateau or in the Versailles building. Standard amenities include a full size balcony with furniture, flat-screen TVs, high-speed wireless Internet access, stereo CD/DVD player, iPod MP3 docking station, cutting-edge technology will bring modern innovations to every guest's room. Maximum occupancy is 4 guests.

Our first visit was last Fall when we got to see the, unfortunately, empty set after Regis and Kelly had visited for a live broadcast. We didn't know this was happening or we would have gotten there sooner as we were visiting in Ft Lauderdale. But, I did get a poster that the clean up crew was throwiing away that said, :Welcome to the Fontainbleau and the Regis and Kelly show". That was fun. The hotel was beautiful...thanks..

I have a really special story. We come to FB with my husband and my two daughters at the beggining of June 2009, I was pregnant - at 34th week of pregnancy. 3rd of June was born my little son Max and his very first address is Sorrento Fontainebleau:) We stayed in FB two months and it was definitely the most wonderful time in my life. See you soon Fontainebleau!

Fountainebleau is my favorite staycation spot! I live 50 miles north and when work and kids and family the myriad of other responsibiilities start dragging me down, I spend the weekend at the Fountainbleau. I sleep, eat, shop, attend something cultural, and walk. All this can be done easily, safely and conveniently. There is no better place to recharge!

The Fontainbleau is beautiful. Also Gansevoort, The Raleigh, Loews, Delano. All these are in South Beach so they are a 5 min walk to the beach (which is absolutely beautiful) Also walking distance to great restaurants and shopping. ---> In response to: Guys can any of ye recommend a nice hotel with cool location in Florida??

Back from the Miami conference held at the awesome Fountainbleau Hotel. Fabulous but expensive...Pepsi - $5.00, sandwich and salad - $30.00! Thankfully my kids brought us food which we lived on. Definitely the world of Paris Hilton. Grateful to my best buddy, Sue Lynn, for sharing her suite with me. Great speakers, much to learn about the condition of education in other states; tired but inspired and motivated!

A special thanks to Roger (at Vida), and Kelly ( pool server extraordinaire - beautiful, inside and out !) X

Such a great clip! The Fontainebleau in its years of style, elegance and great entertainment! Although the Fontainebleau still is avery elegant and stylish resort, but not so sure about some of the entertainment that is there now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxlzFxeApUQ&feature=player_embedded

La Cote : Must be close to a one star quality for food. The quality and taste is zero, well sorry it does have a taste.BAD TASTE.Who lets these restaurants open in thsi beautiful hotel .I have been to many of the restaurants in the hotel and never had a problem with service or the food. But this one is way down there. Is i...s that difficult to cook cheap food.I can do better at home. What a pity. But i guess they aere not concerned because its tourists and they won't be back and there are plenty more who will fill there places.Won't be back

I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE RECEPTION OF FONTAINBLEAU A FRIEND OF ME LEFT A COMPUTER (VALUE $2000 ) TO DELIVER TO ME AND GAVE MY NAME TO THE RECEPTION. NEXT DAY THE RECEPTION TOLD ME THAT THEY HAVE A COMPUTER FOR ME BUT THEY COULD N...OT FOUND IT.I MADE A COMPLAIN AT THE POLICE . I ASKED THE HOTEL TO PAY ME BACK MY NEW COMPUTER AND THE ANSWER IS : SORRY WE ARE ONLY INSURED FOR $ 500. iS IT NORMAL THAT IN SUCH A NICE HOTEL YOU CAN NOT LEAVE SOMETHING AT THE RECEPTION????

If anyone worked at the Fontainebleau back in the 60's let me know and maybe you might have known my brother,..he went by the name of 'Tracy'..he was one of the hairstylists back then. Wonderful memories even as a kid. He would come home and tell our mom what celebrity he met, and would do their hair! It was wonderful ...to hear the stores that went on there!!

I'm going there tomorrow morning to work out and use the spa-it is supposed to be out of this world! I still remember our senior prom which was there. Many years later I lived on 40th and Collins and I belonged to the gym there for a while. Remember we took those senior superlative photos there too. Gobble gobble :)

I lived in Miami Beach for a very long time manyt years ago when your hotel first got started in 1954....we lived at 53rd and La Gorce Drive.....it was magnificent then and even much more fabulous now...I can close my eyes and picture myself by the pool and I once went to see Sammy Davis Jr in the nightclub.

"Since the massive and expensive renovation, this place is a fantastic destination. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms were spacious, well appointed and clean and the pool was second to none. On the other hand, the service and friendliness of the staff needs some improvement. It might be that because there is an 18% gratuity automatically added to every bill, the staff lacks incentive to go out of their way for the guests. On more than one occasion, I found staff members to be unresponsive and disinterested in helping with a routine question, assisting with luggage or hailing a cab. Some other staff members were very friendly and accomodating but that was only in the nicer restaurants on the property. By comparison, I have stayed at other places where the staff goes out of their way to greet each guest and ask if they can help with any aspect of the stay. The Fountainebleue should work on improving that aspect of their service and, in doing so, would make itself an all around marvelous place in every regard."

"The remodeling was very nice but now to get a chair by the pools you practically need to rent a cabana which by the way is $450.00 the cheapest. The VIDA restaurant was a disaster. They need better management and it is overpriced."

"The Fontainebleau has a great atmosphere. Had a suite which was perfect. The lobby bar, restaurants and pool service were all excellent. Although not right on South Beach, it is only a 10 minute taxi ride. Many pools allowed kids not to spoil the experience, since most kids were at a separate pool. I would stay here again and recommend it."

"The Hotel is very nice, but you do need to be prepared to spend a pretty penny to stay here. Everything in this hotel, from the pool to the restaurants, is extremely expensive. It is a very nice hotel, with very nice customer service."

"Fabulous hotel! We felt like celebrities staying here. The only downside was the costs for drinks and food, however we also stayed at the Eden Roc and the prices were comparable.
The rooms were pretty funky and very comfortable. There was a MAC computer with a display that welcomed us to the room and provided all kinds of info on the hotel. Very useful! The service was excellent and people really went the extra mile to make you feel welcomed. The restaurants in the Fountainebleu were exceptional. Make sure you go to the Hakkasan. It was worth every penny for this incredible culinary experience. Order the Dim Sum appetizer! Scrumptious! We went to La Cote for lunch and again they "wow"ed us with their food.
If you want to be on the beach I would suggest bringing a cooler. There is no bar service on the beach. It would also make sense to buy duty free coming in so that you can save a bit by having your own drinks when you want it. All in all, I miss the Bleu and will be back for sure!"

"We stayed here for our anniversary, and were very satisfied with the hotel and all it had to offer (several restaurants, pools and a night club). However, drinks and meals were overly spendy. We walked down to South Beach several days and ate at the restaurants there instead. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel was beautiful -- we don't mind paying more for food and drinks on vacation but certain things were just unnecessarily expensive."

They charge for beach chairs, beach umbrelas, and they close the pool and beach at dusk. That put a dumper on Friday, cause check in time is 4:00pm. Other wise the hotel is beautiful and clean."

"There is no special line, or special priviledge to get into LIV, the "Chi-Chi" nightclub. The Fountainbleau concierges can't get you in. So if you think that you are staying at the hotel and you'll be first in line or at the right place, Forget about it. The only people who can get in are people who have reserved tables. If you are a female, don't even try to go on Friday night, It's totally 100 percent women who are going to bachelorette parties. For those coming from local destinations to get away for the weekend, stay at a different hotel and visit the Bleau bar."

Machintosh computer on the desk where you can set your wakeup call, order room service and a number of other paperless hotel transactions. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. The flat screen TV, the bath robes... everything you'd expect in a five-star hotel. My wife and I couldn't be happier."

"The hotel recently underwent a renovation. We expected much more. The room was small, the toilet was dirty. The access to the poolbeach area was limited to one out of the way area. The distance from our room to the beach was excessive. When you do get to the beach there are charges for the beach chairs, etc.
Come on, for the rates that are charged per night, why do you have to nickel and dime us for this? The wait for a car parked in valet was up to one half hour. We have been to many other places that actually cater to their clients, rather than have the staff stand with their hands out for tips at your every turn."

"We had a nice stay over Easter break with mixed levels of service from the hotel. For example, our 1 bedroom suite was not ready by check-in time of 4pm and by 5pm they finally got us a similar room on the same floor in the Tower with a "better view". The room was not cleaned well when we arrived, there was someone else's prescription medicine in the bathroom and they didn't always vacuum very well. The valet car service often took 15-20 minutes and room service got our 25 items on our order wrong. The good news is that the restaurant and pool staff are extremely well prepared and customer-oriented. The hotel is beautiful though we miss the waterfall out by the pool. Everything is very pricey (as you would expect) at the pool bars and hotel restaurants. Overall we had a nice time (how could you not at such a beautiful spot?) but it is definitely not as consistent or smooth service as what you would expect at similarly pricedrated hotel like a Ritz or a Four Seasons."

"Gorgeous property but needs significant improvement on the service side. The hotel opened back in November but they still haven't worked out most the kinks. The staff for the most part is friendly but they fail miserably when it comes to execution. Room service orders incomplete, pool service slow, valet service delivered car to wrong drive, the list literally goes on and on. And everything is ridiculously expensive - two iced coffees were $15. I think this a case of the "wrong hotel at the wrong time"."

The room was huge, clean, well-equipped with electronic devices, and we just loved it.
