"First I will list the positive aspect of my stay, the location was GREAT! One block from the beach and around the corner from Ocean Drive. The very COMFY beach chairs are free to hotel guests, which was a great perk! Now for the bad, the hotel was dirty, our room had carpets that were stained and obviously filthy, the bathroom was tiny and not very clean, the toilet kept running and it was very loud. Unbeknownst to us it was "hip hop weekend" and we could barely walk the streets of SoBe because there were massive crowds at all times of the day, we were woken at 4:30 am by roudy hotel guests, our ENTIRE hallway smelled like weed and the smell seaped into our room, it was constantly loud and noisy due to the "hip hop weekend" crowd staying at our hotel and the staff did NOTHING about it. For the price of this hotel we should not have had to put up with ANY OF THIS!!!"

"After a 5 day cruise, we stayed for one night at this hotel and were absolutely thrilled with the decision upon arrival. The desk staff was very accomodating and the rooftop pool and lounge were nearly as good as being on the boat. Also, they make a mean mojito. Cheers!"

"Overall, this hotel was delightful. The rooms were clean and the decor was lovely. It is centrally located, and has a great pool. There were a couple of cons, though. First, although I had a room with relatively little street noise (hard to accomplish in South Beach), the walls between the rooms are paper thin. I could hear the guests' conversations in the neighboring rooms as though they were standing right in my room. Fortunately, they seemed like more mature, married couples, and I did not hear any sex. I think that is only because they were not having sex, because given how I could hear the conversations, I am sure that I would be stuck awkwardly listening to copulation sounds had they gone there. Second, the valet in front was rude and abrasive. My friend who lives in Miami came to visit me, and she wanted to valet her car. The valet yelled at her that she could not leave her car standing there. It was only place to leave your car for valet service. Then he yelled at her that it was for guests only. I explained that I was a guest. After being treated that way, we decided to park elsewhere. Those are my only two complaints - thin walls and poor valet service. Other than that, The Hotel was lovely."

"Will definitely go back... the rooftop pool makes this place a must! Will definitely go back... the rooftop pool makes this place a must! The location is perfect. The rooms were ultra quiet and the bedding was top notch! There were a number of minor items around the hotel that needed attention but nothnig that really bothered us during our stay except the way the shower was configured, the bathroom floor became soaked, almost with standing water when don. "I wouldnt stay anwhere else! The Hotel is close to so many things - we just walked everywhere. The staff is fabulous and helped us with everything. "My boyfriend and I really liked this hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, although the beds could have been better. The decor was very nice. I loved the bathroom. The roof top pool was great. There is a very nice view of the ocean from up there. The lounge on the roof is great too, although it's only open Thursday-Saturday. The location of the hotel is great: a block from Ocean Avenue and the beach. Check out the News Cafe which is right at the end of the block on Ocean. They have outstanding food. The restaurant at the hotel, "Wish", was also fantastic. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would stay at "the hotel" again for sure. Just an FYI, if you take anything from the minibar double check your bill at the end of your stay. We were overcharged for a few things we never had. The woman at the front desk did review the bill with us and took the charges off without any problems."

"This is a lovely hotel with an excellent restaurant and helpful and friendly staff. Our room was on the small size (next time, we'll choose a larger one). It was beautifully decorated. "Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are quite clean and well designed, albeit small. Hotel is a bit noisy, could use better soundproofing. The top floor for drinks is wonderful for the view; however, mojitos at $14 drink is ridiculous. Location is excellent. Valet parking is problematic as it takes forever to retrieve your car, but that can be addressed by giving at least 45 minutes notice. Having said all the foregoing, we'd stay here again in a NY minute."

"Me and my boyfriend recently spent 5 nights at this hotel and oh my god! it was perfect! i spent hours searching an online travel website for a nice central hotel with a pool and close to the beach and thats what i got here. The staff could not do enough for us, taking our luggage, booking activities for us, organising cabs and turning down our bed at niight, nothing was an effort!
Our room was spotlessly clean and modern with a flat screen tv, bay window and a walk in shower. Hop in the elevator to the rooftop pool (the pictures do not do it justice)
We were literally around the corner from the main strip of south beach, and across the street from the beach. The hotel has a bar and restaurant...amazing food. I honestly could not fault this hotel and I would definitley recommend it and stay there again myself."

"Check in lasted more than twenty minutes, during which the counter staff handed me back my credit card while asking for a credit card, stared into space for extended periods and generally seemed disoriented. Haven't ever had quite that experience before . . . Afterwards, a staffmember came by our room to say that they'd forgotten to fill out the check in form and to ask for our details - bizarre. Hotel building and room were fine, but overall experience wasn't pleasant."

"What a gem! The staff here are the nicest and most helpful I've come across in ages. While the rooms could do with a bit of a spruce up, the lobby and pool area are impressive. The Hotel is excellent value for money and the location couldn't be better. I'll be making this my regular Miami Beach hideout.

"My husband and I stayed at The Hotel for a few days for our honeymoon in May 2007. We were cruising out to the Bahamas via Discovery Cruise Line after our stay.
The hotel looked just like the pictures online. It was pricey, but the atmosphere was great. I'd recommend getting breakfast elswhere, as 2 omlettes exceeded $20.

"Livingston, the front desk hotel representative is exemplary.
He is highly intelligent , generous and typical of the fine employees at this boutique hotel.
Tony P......the manager is another wonderful execuitive at this
5 star South Beach facility.

"Great stylish hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms are a bit on the small side (especially the bathrooms) but that is pretty standard for an art deco boutique hotel. And besides, it's Miami Beach - you should be outside.
