"The pool paint at the bottom was chipped out, the neighborhood wasn't the best, the breakfast was good though... The rooms were dark colors, didn't had microwave. Room bathrooms were good condition but beds were not so good... The hotel is a one night thing, not a family stay hotel..."

"For the rate we paid, the hotel was a good value. The front desk staff was very friendly, and the room cleaning was great. There was a smell as you went down the hallyway (probably from the smokin g rooms), but the room itself was fine. No intruding noise. Just need a place to sleep at night since we were out and about most of the time. Excellent location that is convenient to all in the area."

"I travel alot on business and the hotel was fine. The rooms are neat clean,the staff is friendly and very helpful. I felt very comfortable and safe at the hotel. I also had internet access for the entire stay without interruption."

"I ended up staying here on last minute because of a water issue at my home in Gainesville. Because of the price, truly I wasn't expecting much, but all I wanted was a hot shower, anything else was icing. And WOW, the grounds were beautiful. The lobby immaculate. Front desk personnel very friendly and checking was easy. When I got to my room, it was spotless. I was truly surprised. The only complaint I had was for some reason the bathtub flooring felt like I was gonna crash through it. And the obnoxious yellow walls. But all in all GREAT value. I'd stay here again and recommend to out of town guests for sure."

"Hotel was in great state of disrepair (exterior and interior), although it was clean. Beds were dreadfully uncomfortable (mattresses must have been over 20 yrs old), pillow were as flat as pancakes (but again, it was clean).
Site states they are pet friendly and we even phoned the hotel in advance to ensure the policy was still in affect - we were assured we could bring our pets (plural). No where on the site or via phone conversation was it mentioned that there is a pet deposit fee ... we quickly learned that they wanted $10 per day per pet and we were not happy about that. They did negotiatie down a little for us, but we still felt deceived. Wish we had paid more $ and in a nicer hotel."

"This place was a nightmare from the start. My wife and I spent one night.....One Long Night!!! We decided to do our laundry and the washer works great but the clothes dryer does not dry your clothes. One dryer partially dries your clothes and the other one does not even heat. "Nasty hotel with horrible odor in halls and rooms. We even had roaches. We slept on top of the bedspread the first night. The second day we bought Fabreze and that helped somewhat and bought sheets. For the price, we didn't expect ritzy, but we did expect cleanliness. We were in Winter Haven for a baseball tournament that our son was playing in. The team stayed in this hotel; otherwise, we would never have checked in."

"There was fleas in the room, curtain was in shreds, cooking smells in the hallway, two dogs and at least one cat in room below me, springs could be felt in the mattress so it was no pleasant at all."

"The cost made it worth the stay. It's an older building but they've kept it in good condition. The beds were not as soft as i like but i didn't have any trouble getting to sleep. One issue I had was a few insects in the bathroom. There were sevral restuarants in walking distants and one is connected to the hotel lobby. Oh... and the hotel does have wireless internet access."

"We only stayed overnight, arrived late. Concierge was very helpful, he offered to give us complete directions to our next day commitment. He had them printed in the morning so we arrived on time as planned."

"I found the accomodations to be descent for the amount that I paid. The hotel was clean with maid service promptly every day, where they replaced your towels with clean ones. The continental breakfast needs some improvement though."

"I believe these franchise owners might give the whole chain a bad rep. There were other Ho Jo's I've stayed in that were really nice. This one was not worth the 65 12%-tax. The room looked clean except for this lingering pungent lived-in odor. The bathroom was nice and clean and had nice fixtures, though. The AC blew nice...

"When you walk into the entry way of the downstairs non-smoking wing Cigeratte smokes just about knocks you down. The beds were completely uncomfortable and we did not sleep more than about 4 hours that night and that was after driving all day."

"Big rooms, clean, reasonably modern. Some friends stayed at the Holiday Inn next door and told us that they preferred our larger room and that they paid $15.00 per night more. More room for less money...ya gotta like it!"

"I love this place. I have stayed here twice, both times during spring training to see the Indians play. You can walk to the stadium from the hotel (10 minutes). Unfortunately, the Indians are going to move to Arizona so i dont think i will be back. The lady at the front desk was nice and the room was clean....

"They can't blame 2004 hurricanes anymore. Floors were dirty, even in the halls, ceiling tiles coming down, broken ironing board, toilet flapper had to be held down by hand after every flush, sheets don't fit, remote needed new batteries....generally the place needs some quality attentionmaintenance.

"Convenient and great value: I stayed there to visit the Cleveland Indians spring training facility. My room was clean and comfortable, the service staff was friendly, and most of all, it was a convenient location at a great value. It was about 3 blocks from the park and cheaper than the other hotels nearby."

"SLEEP IN YOUR CAR INSTEAD!: This was awful. It is the kind of hotel you have nightmares about. HUGE cockroaches and unidentifiable bugs in the already filthy bathrooms. No smoke alarm - cover off, battery gone and wire hanging. No air conditioning. Stains on all carpeting and walls. No security (side door handle was duct taped on). Broken glass on balconey. We had 7 people in our van and we should have slept in that instead of this hotel, even after a 1300 mile drive. Do your research and don't take a chance like we did - the lobbey is very deceiving..... we didn't even look at the free breakfast - our stomachs were still turning from the bugs in our room!"

"old,dirty, tired: The price was good but the motel is pretty run down. The carpet was worn and threadbare. The ice machine was broken and the clerk said "I can't call anyone on Sunday". The pool was clean and well kept. I was told by my local business associate that there are several motels nearby that are much nicer for the same money."

"Stayed here during Cleveland Indians Spring Training. Hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but overall was clean and within walking distance to the stadium (must cross a major hwy.) and restaurants. Got a great deal so will consider staying here again. The only major drawback is a miniature golf course right outside our patio door-there seemed to be no set hours...

"dont even go there: Terrible experience, very dirty, walls were unpainted carpet was bad, sliding door at patio came off track, smelled horrible, somehow was rated as the number 2 best place in winter haven by this site, good reason not to ever pre pay again!!!"
