"The hotel, and the desk staff, are excellent. We had a poor experience with a very scattered server in the restaurant at breakfast. Food was very good, but the server needs a new career choice. When toast is served warm, but unbuttered, the butter should be served while the toast is still warm, yes? Grits were delicious."

"This was an outstanding boutique hotel with friendly, helpful service. Even though I had a room over the rear alley with a view of the parking garage, the room was still great (with the shades drawn). The bed and linens are excellent -- don't want to get up. The carpet is a comfortable texture -- great for bare feet. The color scheme is soothing. The tub is smallish, but the bath products and robes make up for it. On the weekend, the room was no noisier than a nice Westin. You can hear some hall noise, when people walk by, but nothing really intrusive. The museum atmosphere was engaging and relaxing. The fitness center and sauna were a plus. The room service (buffalo burger) was very good. Proof (the hotel bar) had a strong selection, including some very good scotches. Morton's is a few doors down. Some other restaurants and museums are within a quick walk or cab ride. The front desk and concierge made it very easy for me to drive and find a great men's haircut and food in the "Highlands" area of town. If all my stays were like this, I would never stay anywhere else in Louisville."

"Interesting to say the least, the museum extras make it worth the price. We stayed for a weekend getaway and for the two days had plenty to do within walking distance. The hotel restaurant "Proof on Main" was exceptional. We saved about $60 a night with Travel website and got the King bed as requested, very comfortable second only to my annual stay at Westin in Cinncinatti, which has been the best hotel beds ever experienced by me. Parking tip is to park it yourself in garage next door (same location that hotel uses) for 7.00a day but if unattended when leaving (on weekends) the min charge of 3.00 gets you out. My only complaint was noise from below window at night hours from hotel employees gathering out back for a smoke break,rm 231, I suspect internet bookings may get least favorable rooms. Room was well appointed with large screen lcd tv. Service was excellent, I had a remote control problem and it was replaced within 5 minutes of call. The spaworkout area in bsmnt was secure and included sauna and steam room with private shower. Being a contemporary museum don't forget to check out the bathrooms in bsmnt and first flr.Within walking dist is at least 4 other museums, actors theater, jazz club, and 4 fine eateries. Enjoy. The room was large with high ceilings, great furnishings and a flat screen plasma with more channels than you should ever need. Service was very nice and everyone was extremely helpful, even the electrician who came after my wife blew the fuses while ironing. Only a slight glitch.
