Just footsteps from the crashing waves is the only waterfront gambling in the city: a glass-fronted, three-story beachfront casino. And inside, Mandalay Bay offers 135,000 square feet of gaming action. The casino was designed to make waves along the Strip with 120 gaming tables and 2,000 slot machines as well as race and sports wagering.
Mandalay Bay boasts some of Vegas' famous hot spots, including the dancers of Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce and the best view of the strip at Mix Lounge. Add edge-of-your-seat, championship boxing matches and on-your-feet musical headliners, and Mandalay's events are on the pulse of every entertainment option.
Mandalay Bay features imaginative cuisine for every palate: French delicacies, propelling wine angels, Hong Kong classics, even a frozen ice bar. From bold architecture and dazzling views to innovative dining and signature cocktails, Mandalay Bay's world-renowned kitchens are sure to cater to all your senses.
Mandalay Bay is also home to the Shoppes at Mandalay Place - a shopping experience filled with 38 shops and restaurants. Or, get face-to-face with some fascinating creatures at North America's only predator-based aquarium at Shark Reef Aquarium. And at the end of the day, the elegance and luxury of Mandalay Bay's newly remodeled rooms and suites awaits.
A resort fee of $15 plus tax per night will be charged at the front desk. The resort fee includes in-room wireless internet access and a coupon for 2 free well drinks per room per stay at select casino bars, as well as Cardio Center access, daily newspaper, local and 800 toll free calls, boarding pass printing, and outgoing fax services. Luxor is pretty cool just because of the shape of the rooms etc. Treasure Island was OK... you should take a look at Mandalay Bay. May be a little pricey and it's at the South (?) end of the strip BUT... it's an amazing place with some incredible restaurants and if you like Sharks they have an amazing undersea exhibit there. --> In response to: what 4 or 5 star hotel have you stayed at over in Sin City, and would you recommend it? Looking for something flashy and also a room with a view

Mandalay Bay Las Vegas: great, comfortable room...amazing modern bathroom. Maid service was super accomodating but room service was rude and hung up on me. It is the best pool in Vegas plus very connected to the convention center.

The best hotel is the "H" suite at The hotel at Mandalay Bay. Any room is great but that suite is the best.

"All the things advertised about the hotel were true. The pools and restaurants were nice and the rooms were clean. The draw backs were the long, long check-in process. The valet parking took 45 minutes. There were lines even to get to the elevator. The pools, bars and restaurants were too crowded to enjoy. For the most part, the service was friendly, just not the greatest organization. I do not know if there was a convention or what, but the crowds were overwhelming."

"We travel alot and have stayed at alot of resorts. The Mandalay Bay was a hotel we picked for the pool and room. We had a nice room, but from the front desk attendant on we had expereinced nothing but rude employees. while not all employees at the resort were rude, three stand out that were awful. The Pool towel guy ( his big stressful job was to pass out clean towels to guests on the way to the pool) we are a family of four, he was busy talking with a fellow employee and when we "interupted" him and asked for two towels for the kids he literally glared at us, than said he was talking. A housekeeper let a door slam on our kids stroller and stand back clearly annoyed we had interupted her wiping of the very door we entered - one would think an employee would simply hold the door open for a guest. The hostess at the House of Blues actually rolled her eyes when we asked for a high chair, and the waiter was clearly put out by our request for a childrens menu. I could go on, but overall it was a nice hotel but with the crappy service i would just as well sleep in my car. Do Not Waste Your Money on this place. In Las Vegas it is not like you do not have options. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again. I am writing a letter to MGM Mirage the parent company of the Mandalay Bay in hopes others do not receive the same poor treatment. I am sure it will be in vain."

"This Hotel provides two vacations spots at once. Visiting Vegas, you want the lights, fun on the strip, and gambling. This hotel is off the strip (Behind Excalaber and Luxor) but has a direct tram from the strip through Excalaber. It is a little expensive, but well worth the stay if looking for a hotel that has a nice pool (the only pool that can compete is MGM's pool) which has real sand and a ocean wave system making it seem beach like. Overall my stay was nice, liquor store right across the street, along with a McDonalds, Subway and other shops that have stuff way cheaper than strip places (which are marked up 20-30% more in price). So I got the beachresort feel when I wanted it, and then the Vegas lights and night life when I wanted it. Expensive, but worth it."

Also, no microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator. Standard resort type place. Pool was completely packed, inner tubes available for purchase only. Also, rather thin walls. We could clearly hear conversations in the next room."

"We have stayed twice at the Mandalay Bay, and the rooms are outstanding. Being at the end of the strip is a bit out of the way, but not bad. We had moved to this hotel from anothere because we had heard the pool was terrific. Not so much. The sand beach is a good idea, and the wave pool too. But the waves were almost non-existent, and there was no shade whatsoever. The 110 degree day made shade a priority at times. The casino was fun, and there are many things to do."

"Price is very affordable when you stay on weekdays. You have to pay for everything, internet, coffee and even hot water costs $5.99. The Beach Pool was nice with the waves, but you can experience that too at Knott's Soak City. Room carpets looks worn out a bit. A hot tub with a tv was very convenient for relaxation. We made reservations just to experience staying in Mandalay Bay. But would look for other hotels next time. Somewhere closer to the Strip."

"Mandalay Bay is a typical large hotelcasinoresort. Being new to Las Vegas, we found it difficult to find the parking garage, so we attempted to use the vallet service which was closed. The room was in need of maintenace and I noticed the air vent was filthy with dust. Signage could be greatly improved as we found it difficult to find our way around the casino. We ate at the cafe and the service was poor. Had to ask for our check. Sorry to say the Mandalay Bay would not be on our list of places to stay in Las Vegas."

Awesome beach, but if you don't like direct sunlight, go early and find a chair under the shade. If you care less about the pool, definitely look into a different hotel. For the price we paid, we could have stayed at the Wynn or Palazzo, but like I said, the pool was worth it for us!"

My room...I don't know how often this happens...but my deluxe single was upgraded to a penthouse suite on the top floor for free! I'm not a high roller or anything (it was my first time in Vegas) but it was the most amazing room I will ever stay in! The beachwave pool was decent in the early morning then got too crowded so I went to the European pool where there is a charge (during the week $10 for women and $40 for men, goes up on weekends) but it was well worth it! I'd totally stay at this hotel again, whether or not it's in the penthouse suite!"

"Mandalay Bay was excellent with the wave pool, and the convenience to the area. The only negatives were that it was very hard to unload numerous items during registration. We had to park in the rear parking area and then walk back and forth to our room as there was either valet parking, or valet assist. If you are coming with multiple people and bags, it is not convenient to unload your own car. Note that the shark tank they rave about comes with a pricey ticket. I missed that it cost a lot to see the 'aquariumshark tank'. I had imagined it right in the center of things for free. Otherwise an okay stay."

"We were very happy staying at Mandalay Bay. It is close to everything while not being right in the middle. The pools are beautiful!! The hotel and the room we were in are also beautiful. There is a great selection of restaurants in the hotel - as well as within walking distance from the hotel. We wondered what the delux rooms could possibly be like if our room was a standard! We liked that Mandalay Bay was beautiful but not "in your face Las Vegas". We had stayed in another top rated big hotel on the strip at the beginning of our vacation. That hotel was just loud and really not relaxing. Mandalay Bay has everything you could want but is also a peaceful oasis."

"The Mandalay Bay is not the place to be at if you want a resort like experience. The pool area had music playing so loud that it was hard to read and the waitresses took 10 minutes to even come over to us...when they brought us our food it was wrapped in foil in a plastic bag. Very tacky! Plus they had a $50 fee for my wife and I to go to the "adult" pool area. The whole thing felt like Spring Break or something. Not like a resort that claims to be the same level of quality and comfort as other hotels on the strip like The Bellagio and The Wynn. Stay at one of those two -- for the same price they are actually worth it. Plus, Mandalay Bay is waaay down on the end of the strip and away from the action so you need a cab every time you go anywhere. I would not stay there again. Too many other choices. Consider yourself warned."

"Not only is it close to the Four Seasons but it is the same building - I wasn't aware of that beforehand. Better yet, it's half the price."

"I love Mandalay Bay. The casino is the least smoky and most spread out of all of them. The pool area simply can't be beat. I don't really agree with $15 a day for internet, but whatever. They could use some better restaurants in Mandalay Bay, but THE hotel has some OK ones."

"Great hotel...service was great, rooms were clean and housekeeping was on top of getting rooms made up....we would go for coffee and by the time we came back - the room was as good as new. Check in and out was very efficient even right at check out time. The only negative would be that tram service was inconsistent - and being the furthest hotel on the strip, it made for some lenghty trips back to the hotel."

"The rooms are very nice, with a comfortable bed. The housekeeping could use a little work- paper scraps on the carpet, hair on the floor of the shower and in the tub from previous occupants. The walls are somewhat thin- we were waken repeatedly by partying next door neighbors, loudly laughing and talking people in the hallway. Buffet is good, but expensive. Would recommend eating off the Strip if you rent a car."

"Mandalay is a very nice place to stay. Great location. The casino was spacious, clean and never over crowded. Staff was friendly and helpful. Some of the resturaunts were pricey, we spent a ridiclous amount of money on the buffet, but it was convienent. My only MAJOR beef, they charge $30 a day to use the fitnes room. This clearly should be inclusive."

"Loved everything, but was a little disappointed with the pool. We couldn't find anywhere to lay out, and they had one of the pools completely closed off. We asked if we could go in there, but they refused. Other than that, everyone was so friendly. Our bartender at MIX was great, and even the cafe food was great. We love Mandalay!"
