"Hotel charges a $16 per day "Hotel Services Fee" that was not advertised on the Hotels.com page for this hotel. Whether you use the services or not you still pay the fee. Other hotels like the Tuscany Suites was clear about their $10 fee and $200 refundable room deposit. Factor the $16 per day fee to your your total basic charge for this property."

"We arrived at the hotel in the evening. We got a great price on the room through Hotels.com. Upon checking in, we were hit with a 17.00 service fee. This applies to all guests. We felt deceived when this fee was not mentioned on website. This fee was to include the use of work out room, shuttle to strip, local phone calls, etc. I wasn't going to use any one of the items listed. The hotel was old and run down. AC did not work very well and room smelled of smoke even though non smoking."

"We always stay at the Palace Station, but normally stay in the cheapest rooms; but we decided to get a tower room this time. We purchased our room through Hotels.com and let them know that we would be a late arrival. When we got there, they had no available rooms in our sector; so they gave us a mini-suite. It was awesome!! The only real complaint that I would have is that the AC didn't make it all the way into the sinkbathroom areas of the room. Whomever designed the Heating AC should have put two vents in the room instead of one. You should defiantly stay at the Palace Station"

The price for the hotel was fine but when I got there was surprised to find out that there was a "hotel use charge" that was almost as much as the hotel price. I think most Vegas hotels have a charge like this but most are significantly less. When I got back went back on Hotels.com and saw that this charge was listed but I had missed it. Anyway there are better values out there."

"I was at the Palace Station for a two day conference. From reading other reviews, I learned about the extra hotel facilities charge. I wish they would handle this differently, but since I used both their Internet Access and the Fitness Room, I didn't begrudge the extra fee. I can easily understand why some customers would be upset with that policy. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there, and would happily recommend it to others, after explaining, of course, the extra mandatory fee tacked onto the room price. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel is easy to access. I may be back in November for another conference, and I'd be happy to stay there again."

"The Palace Station is a good bang for the buck resort, just keep in mind you will have a $15 per night additional charge for services. My kids enjoyed the pools and the 1.5 mbp internet connection , while my wife and I enjoyed the newspaper delivery in the morning, the two breakfast buffets per day coupons being included per room. The beds are very comfortable and the maid service keep our rooms very clean. I am personally glad we went for the tower rooms because they are away from any pool noise and the towers seem to be newer, cleaner and worth the extra $10 IMO. Everyone that worked in the hotel as well as the casino were friendly, more so then other places I visited on my trip. Only downfall was the size of the pools seem to be small, but they stay open till midnight which is a plus. The hotel is right off the strip only a few blocks west of circus circus which is great for me because being off the strip its easy access coming and going and not having to deal with the traffic on the strip. Palace Station is a good hotel I recommend it 100%.. as for the listed price I think there should be some bold notation on hotels.com that you will be charged $15 per night for services."

"The hotel isn't a bad place to stay the biggest problem that I had was the distance from the strip. I also didn't like the fact that the self parking was in a regular lot and they didn't have a parking garage unless you valet. It is not the nicest part of town to be outside in after dark either."

"The bed was hard as a rock and our "courtyard" room faced the pool, so it was noisy for most of the night. Further, the discounted rate we were quoted was upped at checkout by an additional $13.00 a day add-on of a cheesy coupon book that we neither asked for or used. We felt cheated and will not stay there again."
