"I've stayed at the millennium hotel a number of times and they are consistent with their service. The staff is pleasant and the location of the hotel is easy to find in its downtown location. The construction of the new WTC was a little distracting at times but overall I had a good stay at the millennium."

"When we went to check in the man at behind the desk didn't greet us properly or even look us in the eyes the whole time he was checking in. Once we got to the room the pillow cases were dirty like they were never changed. However, when we called to get them changed they came up within a couple minutes! The following morning (a Saturday) they were jackhammering right outside the front door and it woke us up at 6am. He heard it as if we were on the ground level (we were staying on the 46th floor). It would of been nice to be given a heads up of street construction. We expected some noise being that it was across the street from ground zero but we heard NONE of that construction. Over all stay wasn't TOO bad but I wouldn't stay there again. One other thing I'd like to add is that they change a "delivery" fee of $5 for room service on top of the 18% tip automatically deducted. I find that ironic considering 90% of the take out places in the area deliver for free."

"It is basically a comfortable, conventional room in a high rise in Manhattan. Decent size room, great city views: sunrise and sunset. We had a corner room with NE views. It was flooded with light. Prsumably because we did not face W, we had no complaints regarding noise from the WTC construction site. We visited the restaurant only for breakfast. The food was fine, but the ambiance was that of a typical, cold hotel chain restaurant. Nevertheless, that is to be expected. If one want's more localized surroundings, the Financial districts offers several such spots within 30 seconds walking distance. The fact that Brooks Brothers and Century 21 are located "next door" proved to be very convenient: I purchased a jacket to wear at a meeting, after I realized that I had forgotten to pack one. The only flaw (which I simply do not understand why it cannot be rectified within 24 hours( is that there is no WiFi in the rooms. We were bound to the wall via an ethernet cable. Helloooo, are we missing something here?"

"We got a great deal! Our room was on the 27th floor with a wonderful view - part of the Hudson River and Ground Zero from an incomparable angle that can't be seen from the streets. The room was a nice size, and the bathroom sink counter was long and roomy for a NYC hotel. Great location - easily walkable to Tribeca, SOHO, Chinatown, etc. And since we were there for July 4th, we were able to walk towards the water to see the fireworks. The one complaint we have is that we had thin walls or an open vent - we could hear our next door neighbors talking. Fortunately, it only happened once and it lasted a few minutes."

On the upside, the hotel is well-located, close to subways and Tribeca for shopping and dining. If you need a place to stay downtown, the service is good and rates reasonable. The beds are out of this world and the rooms are nice and clean. I had one of the best nights sleep that I can remember. The hotel is located right across the street from Ground Zero. Well, I live in New York and for some reason have not been able to really see Ground Zero -- well, the next morning there it was laid out before us like a giant maze. Kind of gave us a chance to recant our personal 9-11 stories. I found the hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel and think it is a great deal for the money!"

"Our stay started well when we arrived several hours before check-in time and were told that our room was ready and we could get comfortable right then: nice. The room was a so-called Junior Suite on the 30th floor with a view across the Hudson river. The Junior Suite consisted of a large bedroom with an entrance mini-living room with a fold out bed (and its own flat screen TV. Our daughter slept on the fold-out and pronounced it adequate for one night but a little hard for much more. The location near the tip of Manhattan makes it close to the Financial District, Battery Park, the Staten Island Ferry and Southstreet Seaport. Also, almost all of the subway lines pass nearby, making it very easy to get around. Something to be aware of: rooms on that side of the hotel overlook the World Trade Center site and there's a lot of construction going on. They knock off early enough, but get going by 7am even on Saturday. The staff warned us when we checked in, but it would have been nice to know BEFORE, for example on the hotels.com site. In any case, if construction noise might bother you: ASK ahead. Bottom line: we'd stay there again, even with the potential of some noise - it's the big city, after all."

"Overall, my girlfriend and I were dissaponted with the experience, especially given the high marks here. I actually got a Jr Suite thinking it would be even more swanky. Well, the wind came out of my sails! Cons: 1) DIRECTLY accross the WTC construction site. I didnt know this. 2) The cleanliness was mediocre (stain around toilet and dirty wall paper). 3) Maid service did not remove old food tray, put away iron or re-hang robe. 4) Bedroom phone was out of order. 5) Sitting room TV couldnt order movies. 6) Restaurant on floor 3 was tired looking in person and wait staff looked like they just woke up. 7) Didnt restock the minibar. 8) No exhaust fan in restroom making showers like steam baths. Pros: 1) Room service was fast and food was good. 2) Bellhops in lobby were very friendly. As you can see, the romantic weekend I was hoping for was a big letdown in this department. I would definitely never stay here again. I am sure there are places that offer more elegance and better service for the fees I paid."

"We stayed 4 nights. We were surprised to get a corner room on the 30th floor. Great views looking North and Northeast. Even at this height, one can hear sirens and honking horns, but this was not really a problem. The room was clean and orderly. The large screen HDTV was nice. The double beds were too narrow -- should have gotten queen size. WedDid not eat at the hotel. One block to the north is the Stage Door Deli. Wonderful food at a very reasonable price -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Subway connections are a block away. One can walk to Battery Park in about 10 minutes to catch the Ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. WTC construction is ongoing, but not really an issue. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nites have lower rates; and one does not encounter the rush of peopletraffic compared to the rest of the week. Hotel staff was very courteous -- front desk, concierge, and bellman all assisted us with helpful information. Be sure to leave the bellman and concierge a nice tip -- they will appreciate it! I would not recommend using Super Shuttle to or from the airport. Get a yellow cab instead -- quicker and cheaper! We would definitely consider the Millenium Hilton the next time in NYC."

The front desk agent took care of a request regarding room type cheerfully. The hotel is convenient to the PATH and major subway stops. You can walk thru Chinatown, Little Italy, Tribeca and across the Brooklyn Bridge quite easily. The WTC site is across the street and there is 24 hrday construction activity. If you are a light sleeper, that might be a problem for you. There is a very nice pool with views of St. Paul's and City Hall. A rarity in NYC. This place is great if you like the downtown scene and don't mind the commute to Midtown."

But, watch out for the snacks and beverages in the room. The position of the sign explaining the charges that could be incurred was in a location that was hard for me to see without getting on the floor and looking at it. It turned out that we spent 70 something dollars on a small bottle of water. They have a rule for their snacks and beverages that if you even move an item, they will charge you for it. Very good service!"

"I know NY rooms are small this was no exception. Beside the view the bed nothing was even close to good for a 4 star hotel. The flat panel TV was not crisp clear (I expect HD this was worst than my home), the shower head did not have any force the whole experience felt like a 2 or 3 star hotel. Nothing exceptional. Location is very convenient to ground zero statute of Liberty, but far from Times square, shopping, theatres other excitement the city has to offer. At this rate I might as well live close to the action. Lastly, make sure you get the top level floors, ground zero construction is pretty noisy."

"The hotel was convenient for our stay, the room overlooked the World Trade Center site, was clean and comfortable. We were not disappointed and would stay here again."
