"I made this reservation at the last minute and was very happy. The bottle of Champagne waiting for me in the room was a nice treat as was the music playing in the room when I arrived. Very large bathroom and comfortable bed. The weekend rate for parking was a nice break too! Will visit this hotel again!!"

"The hotel was ok as a whole. I would have really liked it if they had better linens. Linens make the room in my opinion. Also could use better bedding and pillows."

"Location of hotel was within walking distance of all venues. The only negatives we encountered was that the ice machine was located on the 2nd floor and one day the maid forgot to make our bed. The room was cleaned but bed not made. Had that corrected and service was done immediately. Food was good and the bar was great. Would go back in heartbeat."

"Overall the hotel was not bad. Location is a few blocks away from the Metro. Daily parking was way over priced...think NYC daily prices. Decided to park in a nearby lot for 12 the price. I would stay here again as a last resort..GUESS I EXPECTED MORE."

"Excellent well appointed room and attentive service from everyone we dealt with there. One of the best hotel experiences we've had in a long time. Great towels, the BEST hotel shower I've ever had, and a great central Washington location. Highly recommend!"

"We loved staying here However, the first day we returned from sightseeing and the room had not be cleaned. Hotel staff responded promptly, however we were told that you must indicate on the door to the room whether we wanted your room cleaned. Strange....."

"The hotel staff was very personable and accommodating. They stored our bags when we arrived several hours before check-in so that we could begin exploring the city. They even established a rapport with our kids. They were great. The room was very spacious, though the bed was a little uncomfortable. The location is perfect. You are close enough to the White House and Mall to experience this great walking city by foot, yet far enough away to appreciate the quiet college town neighborhood around George Washington University which surrounds the hotel."

"We traveled with 2 kids (6 and 4) and the hotel was amazing. It was clean, friendly and was a good base to explore the city. It has a full kitchen which was exactly what we needed to feed the kids. The location worked out perfectly. No pool but we really didn't have the time anyway."

"From the courteous service to the family-friently room to the convenient location, this hotel was wonderful. We had a suite, which included a kitchen, so we were able to cook dinner and have some quiet family time after a day seeing the D.C. sights. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again."

"We stayed at the St. Gregory, and had a great time. The room was clean, and the king sized bed was super comfortable. Plus we got a free bottle of champagne! We also loved the neighborhood, and it was nice exploring the area at night. It was also close to the metro stops so that was really convenient when visiting the tourist areas. Definitely would stay there again in the future."

"I stayed here for a weekend just as a getaway from NYC and I must say I was not disappointed. From our arrival we were provided with top-notch service. Our receptionist gave us the choice of a room with a view on a higher floor or something a little lower down. We choose the view, though there was not much to see. The hotel room itself was in great condition, the bed was comfy and the kitchenette was a nice touch. We also got a complimentary bottle of champagne as promised by hotels.com so that was nice. The hotel was a bit of walk from the National Mall but if you are on vacation and dont mind the heat of DC then you can walk. DuPont Circle was close by and there were a lot of restaurants to choose from, so no complaints there. The nightlife is Dc was very impressive! Im in my early 20's and just a short cab ride away is Adams Morgan which is quite happening if I may so myself. Overall a great hotel in a great city I would return."

"We were upgraded to a junior suite. Large room for DC. Spacious bathrooms too. The location is great with access to two metro stations on different lines. We would definitely stay again."

"Great Hotel. Staff very pleasant and very accomodating. Assisted us a number of times in trying to figure out the best way to get to places. I only had fours on the hotel due to the first night we got there. We had a situation in which we could not arrive until 230am. I called at 430pm the night we were arriving to let them know we are still coming. When we arrived they said they gave our suite up to basically a walk-in person so they would put us in a different room for the night and switch us the next day. The first room we got was interesting to say the least. It had a partition like you would see in a ballroom or conference room to block us from the next room ... needless to say we could hear everything. They gave us mealbar discounts and free parking so we can't complain to much. The next day they moved our stuff while we were gone sightseeing and everything was in place when we returned. The stay was nice and we would stay there again."

"my husband fell because no hand rail,and slippery, it's strange we went all over the world from Paris to Melbourne he never fell in the bath tub, over all the hotel is good, the breakfast good reasonable price,the room is comfy"

"It was a two-night stay. We were checked in at 3pm promptly into a 9th floor (top) large double-bed room with a balcony. It was clean, roomy, and comfortable. Requested a bath robe that showed up quickly. The bathroom was also roomy and clean, with plenty of space for toiletries. There are several restaurants and eateries in the neighborhood as well as a CVS across the street. It's a 10-minute leisurely walk to the Dupont Circle metro station. The hotel staff is helpful and welcoming. The negatives: Our room wasn't serviced at all the next day. Granted it was July 4, but... The food is substandard. I definitely recommend this hotel and will return if I can get the same deal."

"The hotel was a good deal for the money. Nothing exciting, but very functional. A couple quirky things were 'off' about the room - no vent in the bathroom; a lightbulb was burnt out, which we left out on the desk but was never replaced."

"This hotel is located in a great spot in DC. We requested a non-smoking room and they gave us a smoking room. We were immediately given a new suite. The suite is large enough for a long weekend stay. We'll go back."

"Suite had two separate rooms, with a complete hall kitchen (Microwave, dishwasher, full sized fridge with freezer, oven and granite countertops) in between. Two TVs, hide-a-bed in the sitting room and large bathroom. Fantastic accommodations!"

"WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY AT ST. GREGORY'S FOR SEVERAL REASONS AND WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT THE VALUE FOR THE PRICE WE PAID. THE PHYSICAL PART OF THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND TASTEFULLY AND TRADITIONALLY DONE--ESPECIALLY OUR ROOM, AND HOUSEKEEPING MAINTAINED IT THAT WAY. THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND VERY PATIENT. EVERYONE WAS FRIENDLY AND READY TO PLEASE. WE APPRECIATED THE SMALL SIZE OF THE HOTEL WITH FEW FLOORS, THEREFORE, FEW ELEVATORS AND WAIT TIME, FEWER GUESTS AND LESS NOISE--MUCH MORE INTIMATE. THE ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT, IF YOU WANT TO CALL IT ONE, WAS THAT THE EXERCISE ROOM DID NOT OPEN UNTIL 8:30 A.M. INSTEAD OF EARLIER."

"This hotel was amazing. The staff went above and beyond standard service; they actually tried to get to know us and were more than willing to help in any way possible. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. It was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. Parking was a little pricey at 30 bucks a night. However, it is comforting to know that your vehicle is safe on the property, and they valet for you. Driving is crazy in D.C., and the St. Gregory is only about 3 blocks from the metro, which for us was fine. Also, it is right in the middle of downtown, so there are restaurants and stores nearby. Overall, we had an amazing experience, and I would certainly stay there again!"

"We stayed 9 nights and had a mini-suite which included a sitting room and FULL kitchen. A little light on the dinnerware and plates, but adequate. Close to metro stops and circulator (2 blocks). But we mostly used cabs as they were pretty inexpensive. Many restaurants close by. Chinese place on the corner of New Hampshire and M was excellent. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Other reviews have mentioned noise. Noisey only on weekends. Closing blinds and curtains pretty much eliminated the problem. Neighbors were quiet. The in house retaurant was doing all sorts of promos that saved us a ton of money. Food was also quite good. Definitely would return."

"Everything about out stay was great. The hotel location was in a safe area and within easy walking distance from the Dupont circle metro station. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After checking in my wife and I were on the elevator whien we discovered that we had left one of our bags on the shuttle bus from BWI. The bellman immediatly took us back to the lobby,got the shuttle company on the phone and in 10 minutes we had the luggage with all medications,etc. The hotel was very cleana and comfortable. Definitly will stay there again."

"We booked a deluxe king room and ended up with two double beds. That was not the end of the world, but it made a difference. We were not able to check in until 1:00 AM due to flight delays. The man at the desk was barely able to speak English. Day staff were very accomidating. One big problem is that we requested that they have a cab for us for an early departure, and they forgot to call it in. It is a little hard to find a cab at 4:30 in the morning in Washington,D.C."

"I stayed at this hotel because it was close to one of our offices. It was convenient to the downtown area and easy to catch a cab. The customer service at the hotel is really nice and there is a nice loungerestaurant downstairs. There is also a CVS around the corner."

"Overall outstanding site, location, easy to get around the DC from this centerpoint. Great bang for the buck. Hotel staff (front desk clerks valetbell staff) professional personable. Answered all questions and valet service was "Johnny on the Spot". Enough available eateries in the area, and hotel bar restaurant lounge very accomodable sharp in appearance. Only downside was run-in wreservation mgr. Not personable rude. Would recommend this site to ALL visiting the greater D.C. area."

"Spent 5 nights on vacation. Nice mini suite. Very clean and comfortable. King size bed and sleeper couch, kitchenette. 2 TVs. Metro 5 minutes away at Dupont Circle. Several bus lines close by. Lots of excellent restaurants within a few blocks. Only down side was Internet access - wired only and an exorbitant $11.00 per day from noon to noon for not very high speed. There's a fire station a couple of blocks away so sirens were frequent. Good temperature control but air handlers (2) were noisy."

"Only issue was the AC in our room 413 needs to be replaced or fixed so it is not as noisy. We would stay there again..."

"Just a wonderful place to stay. In the dining triangle, close to tour buses (way to go) good service. only down side...needs more ice machines (only one) and soda machine."
