I agree, the Sorrento has a beautiful one on the top floor with a large terrace as well, the 1000 is a cool place, Inn at the Market, not-so-much (in my opinion). I've used the Westin, albeit 100 years ago, T...he Alexis fireplace suites are gorgeous (but the sleeping areas aren't totally seperate from the living spaces), even the Rainier Club has 'em. --> In response to: Really really need a recommendation from my Seattle friends! Need to find a downtown Seattle Hotel that has a Suite that can accomodate 20 people for an Election Night event. Don't want a meeting room. Want an executive suite that has a bedroom and large living room with wet bar and big TV. Any ideas????

There is one place in particular that meets or exceeds ADA requirements, and that is a place that I stayed at this past June. It is the Westin in Seattle. I can definitely recommend that hotel, especially for a disabled traveler.

"This was a really nice hotel, but the most amazing part was the great view from my room. The wall-to-wall windows overlooking the bay (or is it a sound?) were a great touch, and since I spent several hours working in my hotel room, I was thrilled to have such nice scenery. Overall, this is the quality I expect from Westin, and I would highly recommend this hotel."

"My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. It was a nice, clean room - I felt the price was reasonable. The staff was Okay. They didn't do anything special and certainly weren't over the top helpful but all in all it was a good experience. I wouldn't stay again for a special occasion but definitely if we just wanted to hang out in Seattle for the weekend. The hotel itself was very nice and modern."

"We were delighted with this hotel and our first experience using hotels.com. We requested a quiet room by calling the hotel in advance and were very pleased with the spaciousness and quietness of our room in the North Tower. We had a wonderful view of the Space Needle. The hotel is located in the heart of everything--a few blocks to Pike Place Market, one block to the monorail to the Space Needle, great shopping nearby, and an inexpensive taxi ride to local restaurants. The concierge at the hotel made a great recommendation for dinner--The Brooklyn--and his call to the restaurant got us the best table. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel itself was very nice. It was everything I would expect a Westin hotel to be. The staff, however, was phenomenal. The concierge was outstanding setting up reservations for formal dinner, limo, and other matters. There was only one minor bobble regarding tuxedo pressing that was (VERY) quickly addressed by the hotel manager. The view of the Seattle skyline including the Space Needle and the bay were wonderful and the room itself was immaculate. The things that disappointed: both wireless and wired internet access were available... for a fee. This is a service that is free at every other hotel I have visited. Breakfast: also free at other hotels I have visited but very pricey at the Westin. There were a small number of other minor nitnoid things but all-in-all a delightful experience. Was it worth the price paid? Almost."

"I recently stayed at the Westin Seattle because i'm used to using the Westin in Alexandria, Virginia and have always received excellent service. This hotel was like night and day from my previous experiences. The second you step in the elevator you realize that this hotel has seen better days. The room isn't much better. The walls must be paper thin because I was treated to two nights of listening to someone's business calls from next door and the third night was a boss negotiating an employee's review between the sheets. I wouldn't recommend bringing children here. Miserable."

"This is just a good ole hotel. Get in late say 7:00pm, you can park on the street for free! Then head down the street to the Palace Kitchen for dinner. Walk back, enjoy the great views...and very good beds. In the morning walk down to Whole Foods for a little chow and you are off for your day. While the place is a little dated, the locale cannot be beat! So take in some of the old school Seattle and book this place. P.S. Craziest shower heads I have ever seen though? Kind of mutant."

"This Westin is getting a little rough around the edges. The carpet and furnishings on the lobby floor are looking old and worn, and this particular Westin is currently working with a skeleton crew. There was no concierge on duty Sat night at 7pm and only 1 staff member to check inout during our 4 days there. We were told that they are closing sections of the hotel to reduce energy costs during these hard economic times (which is smart) but why did they have to close the areas with the better views? We paid for a deluxe water view and ended up looking straight at a new high rise under developement... with no opportunity to switch. They also told us they stopped the "white tea" signature scent in the lobby which saved them $6K per month. The hotel is in a great location, close to pike place market and walking to othere shoppingrestuarants. If you get a great price, it's still a value I think."
